Story
I wrote this song while sitting on an ocean cliff at night in remote part of the Big Island of Hawaii. As I saw the moon over the water, this song suddenly came pouring through. I would say it's the closest thing I have to a "goddess song." It uses imagery of two iconic symbols of the feminine -- the Moon (lyrics: "Moon is rising over me...") and Mother Earth (lyrics: "Lava flowing under me..."). The latter was a reference to the fiery lava, which was flowing just 8 miles away from me.
